Our core business is providing strategic advisory services for China businesses with a specialty in global cross-industry acquisition strategies, cross border RMB strategies, and real estate corporate strategies.

 

Our business model: leveraging on our key management personnel's experience in corporate strategies, financial strategies, cross jurisdiction laws, and cross cultural deal making, and decades of senior investment banking credential, coupled with our China track record particularly in the real estate and infrastructure sectors, on-the-ground senior management experience in operating companies and businesses in China, connections within and outside of China particularly in industries and in financial markets, our joint venture partners will benefit from our strong capability in taping on resources required to build, develop and execute:

• A successful real estate investment trust manager platform to manage a REIT

• A successful trustee manager platform to manage any proposed listed business trust

• A cross border RMB fund manager platform to manage a cross border RMB fund

• A sustainable and scalable general partnership platform to manage RMB-denominated funds

 

We are in discussion with a number of well known China real estate developers with the view of establishing a real estate investment trust manager or trustee manager joint venture in each case to manage a portfolio of real estate assets and/or development projects intended for listing on an overseas stock exchange through a business trust.  We believe currently, within Asia Pacific region outside of Japan, Singapore Exchange is the best venue for a REIT or business trust listing.

 

We are actively pursuing joint ventures to establish fund management platforms to manage cross border RMB funds with a number of key strategic partners.  Concurrently we are advising a number of large China institutions on their Public-Private-Partnership projects, seeking to bring international resources to play signficant roles in various infrastructure and key industry projects.

One of the illustrious cases in the track record brought by our core team members is a series of high profile and successful international capital market transactions undertaken by New World Development (listed on the Hong Kong Exchange) for its China real estate businesses.

 

As the exclusive strategic adviser to Shui On Land, Theron Capital was instrumental in organizing and tapping on out network of resources in China and overseas and contributed to the success of a series of fundraising by Shui On Land for its series of “Tiandi” projects including “Shanghai Xintiandi”, the internationally renowned real estate located in the center of Shanghai, and its initial public offering in Hong Kong, then the largest China private real estate listing on the Hong Kong Exchange.

 

In addition, a key member of our core team was the Chief Operating Officer for Asia Pacific of HSBC Investment Banking, an international investment bank under the worldwide HSBC Group.  Another key member of our core team brings with him tremendous investment banking track record, sharp legal mind with distinguished qualifications as English barrister and Singapore advocate & solicitor, and network of financial analysts and fund managers globally as a Chartered Financial Analyst.  On our core team is also a member who has worked in state-owned enterprises in China and has strong relationships and connections within China.
